Appeal for Dutch crime boss opened

Amsterdam district court opened detailed hearings in the appeal of alleged crime boss Willem Holleeder and several other defendants found guilty a year ago of blackmailing four businessmen.
Holleeder was sentenced to nine years in jail for blackmail.
Two of the alleged victims, including property magnate Willem Endstra, are dead.

Prostitution law reformed to combat trafficking and crime
