Public demonstration: “Lampedusa, the border of denied rights”

The demonstration is promoted by ARCI, Askavusa, and the No CIE Committee, with the support of the City of Lampedusa and in collaboration with FLARE and Migreurop (www.migreurop.org). It has the aim of raising awareness about the issues caused by illegal migration, and to collect signatures against the planned IEC (centre for identification and expulsion) in Lampedusa and against esclusive immigration policies. There will be interventions by Gad Lerner, a famous Italian journalist; Filippo Miraglia, Arci reference person for the immigration area; and Michele Curto, the president of FLARE.

There will also be a concert, with Assalti Frontali, Villa Ada Posse, Esa, Willy Valanga, Stefano Antoci D’Agostino.
