Luigi Ciotti, President of Libera, joined the FLARE delegation for the “Season of Legality” event in Moscow together with Michele Curto, President of Libera, and Alyona Obezdchikova, member of FLARE Board of Directors. FLARE delegation visited the editorial office of “Novaja Gazeta”, one of the few independent media in the country. Here, Anna Politkovskaya used to work until the day she was found killed in front of her apartment.

 

Given the recent events occurred in Russia that have jeopardised an already-weak freedom of expression, the country represents another important context to follow and to keep updated with within FLARE’s framework.
