“Kosovo mafia investing in real estate”

PODGORICA - Mafia groups from Kosovo have amassed several million dollars over the years and invested it in real estate, according to the World Security Network.
This organization states that the Kosovo mafia has thus been able to take firm control over many business and political spheres.
The WSN report, excerpts of which were quoted by Podgorica daily Dan, states that organized crime groups from Kosovo and Montenegro are colluding in the export and import of illegal materials via the “the sea front.”
The New York-based organization adds in its report that there are many indicators that large sums of money are being laundered in Montenegro for the needs of Albanian criminal groups.
According to the author, there can be no doubt that corruption at a high level is one of the main factors why organized crime networks continue to prosper in the Western Balkans.
