Today, the European Parliament has approved the report by Maria Grazia Pagano (ESP, IT) with 427 favorable votes, 49 black-balls and 9 neutrals regarding the creation of a criminal law framework of the European Union. […]
The Pagano Report also recommend the Council of Europe to adopt a European legislation regarding the social reuse of properties and goods seized from organized crime.
«The Pagano Report represents a further step towards the adoption of a European legislation in the matter of social reuse of properties confiscated from organized crime», said Monica Frassoni (President of European Greens at the European Parliament).
«After more than one year of work together with Libera and FLARE, we have managed to include both into Gerard Perez’s recommendations first and now into the Pagano Report a strong request to the Council for implementing a legislation regarding the social reuse», continued Frassoni. [...]
